WHO IS CLEAR BLUE PHOTO?
Clear Blue Photo is a Calgary based company run by videographer Darryl MacDonald. Over the past 20 years Darryl's passion as an outdoor sports and adventure enthusiast has gained prevalence in his work and sculpted his career to it's current incarnation as Clear Blue Photo. Specializing in aerial drone, underwater, motion timelapse and high angle camera work. We have the experience, the equipment and training to safely capture unique and captivating visuals that will make your production stand out from the crowd
PROFESSIONALISM
The ability to operate a camera in the air, underwater or on a frozen wall of ice requires an extra level of training, precision and safety. That's why all of our staff are carefully selected, professionally trained with years of experience. Made up of commercial and private licensed pilots as well as formally trained drone operators and cinematographers with thousands of hours under their belts. All of our staff are trained and acclimatized to working on set as well as in remote field environments.
QUALITY
In order to meet our clients needs we have a variety of equipment available so we can capture exactly what you need when you need it. We have small specialized aircraft for flying indoors, we have Transport Canada Approved systems for flying above crowds, we have aircraft for flying in sub zero temperatures, we have several larger drones that accept multiple lenses and have amazing low light performance capturing up to 6K RAW. For motion time lapse and underwater we are able to capture up to 8K RAW and have a number of underwater lighting systems available as well. This way we can meet all of our clients need for projects both big and small.

Our highest priority at every job is the safety of our clients, staff and the general public. Here at Clear Blue Photo we adhere to strict safety standards outlined by our policy and procedures. As a reflection of that, with over a thousand flights and four thousand dives underwater working in extremely complex environments we are proud to say that we have a perfect safety record with zero incidents. We continually update our equipment as the technology advances to ensure a continually increasing standard of safety. The majority of our aircraft have multiple redundant systems such as batteries, communication links, GPS, compass and other sensors on top of the software fail safes. These advancements combined with experienced well trained pilots, pre and post flight aircraft inspections and thorough site surveys are key components of our flawless safety record.

Here at Clear Blue Photo we believe in fair pricing. We love our job and we want to help you capture that amazing aerial image or unique underwater video. With that in mind we have worked hard to create a simple but flexible pricing system that allows us to offer professional level service with sophisticated equipment at better rates than most competitors. From individual projects and small production to large blockbuster sets.
